Queens Park, Barrhead, Uplawmoor loop
Details
A shortish but moderately hilly winter ride of 54km distance, 770m ascent (34 miles, 2500ft) starting from the main entrance of Queens Park at the south end of Victoria Road. The route goes out and returns on main roads but the largest section will be on quiet country roads. The speed will be moderate, from 10-12mph average.
Unfortunately there are no handy cafes out this way but I will check out the Uplawmoor Hotel (perhaps a coffee stop there?) but be prepared to bring enough food/drink.
UPDATE: we will check out the “Cup N Saucer” cafe in Neilston.
The forecast is looking breezy with an easterly headwind. Should the forecast worsen it may be prudent to cancel.
