Porter Wars- beer tasting and history

Join us December 7th from 4pm at L. Mulligan Grocery for PORTER WARS, A book talk and beer tasting.

from the chapter of the same name in Filthy Queens: A History of Beer in Ireland, these beers take their inspiration from 18th century brews. A collaboration between Dr. Christina Wade, Liam K of Irish Beer History, and Trouble Brewing, there are two porters, English and Irish.

From the- arguably- most famous courtesan in Irish history with a wicked streak of Beer snobbery, to grocers swearing only to sell Irish porters, we will learn all about brewing in the 18th century.

Also, THERE WILL BE COOKIES!! @chaotickitchen_dublin will be there with some delicious cookies she made using these new porters.
