In a culture that often sells us quick fixes, it can be oddly refreshing - even a little humorous - to step back and ask: what if suffering is not just a glitch in the system, but part of the system itself?

This event will open a space to reflect on the many ways we understand and respond to suffering. Together, we’ll explore themes of inequality and justice, the pull between emotion and reason, the tension between individual identity and collective responsibility, and the paradox of finding meaning in what hurts us most. The goal isn’t to promote a single interpretation, but to invite diverse perspectives and experiences into dialogue. By drawing on both timeless ideas and today’s lived realities, we’ll ask how we might face suffering not only as something to endure, but also as something that challenges us to rethink what it means to live well.
