"UI.Next, WebSharper and CloudSharper" & "Excel(-like) modelling with F#"

This month we are treated to two international speakers!

Adam Granicz is the CEO of IntelliFactory (http://intellifactory.com/), the company behind WebSharper (http://www.websharper.com/) which allows you to write web apps completely in F# (client and server).

Adam Mlocek is a software developer and entrepreneur, co-creator of FCell Add-In (http://fcell.io/), long term F# enthusiast and an active member of London F# community.

"UI.Next, WebSharper and CloudSharper - a killer combo for your reactive web development" by Adam Granicz

In this talk, I will take a brief look at UI.Next, WebSharper's next generation reactive UI library,to see how it makes developing reactive web applications quick and easy. I will use CloudSharper,our favorite web IDE for F#, and you will also get a good glimpse of its new upcoming features.

"Excel(-like) modelling with F#: more fun, less VBA" by Adam Mlocek

This talk is for Excel users who need to build complex models in Excel, e.g. quants, actuaries, risk analysts, etc. I will show you how F# can make your Excel development more productive, safer and more enjoyable.

Using FCell Add-In I will be creating User Defined Functions and COM Add-Ins directly from Excel in an embedded F# editor. You will see the full power of F# in Excel with async and reactive UDFs. We can even keep .NET objects in a spreadsheet as object handles.

Finally, I will programmatically build Excel-like models in F#. You can use them in Excel, bypassing Excel calculation engine, or with any other UI!
