This group is to connect those Going Solo in fun travel activities, whether it be local travel, USA travel or abroad...travel alone NO MORE! We will also embark on some educational and self-discovery get-togethers which will enhance our lives and maybe just make us laugh. We may have an occasional dinner out, go to the movies together, cook-outs or just have a gathering to share a drink or two to share and dream about our bucket list. The purpose of this group is to connect Singles in a fun way and make a friend! This group has an annual per person fee of $10.00.

You MUST upload an actual profile picture of yourself so that we may recognize you at events, Your membership will not be approved until there is one.
Please be considerate of others and if you cannot attend an event that you have RSVP'd to try to cancel at least 24 hours ahead of time.
Understand that if you sign up for an event and do not attend, this will be considered a "No Show". If you have more than 3 events that you fail to cancel or not show up to then you will be removed from the group.
Misconduct at any event will result in immediate removal from the group

DOOR COUNTY~ Come visit Wisconsin's and Chicago's vacation spot, a biker's paradise, where you may ride as much or as little as you please I am posting this for people who want a kayak and bike adventure to Door County Wisconsin. Door County is mazing on Lake Michigan. It is considered the Cape Cod of the midwest. Temperatures should be low 70s, so escape the summer heat!

Door County is a peninsula which divides Green Bay from the main body of Lake Michigan. It has 250-miles of beautiful, rugged shoreline. Door County is often called the “Cape Cod of the Midwest.” We will visit Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, built in 1868, which is period furnished. We will take a ferry to quiet Washington Island which is the largest of Door County’s thirty islands with over 35 beautiful square miles and over 100 miles of quiet roads to explore and enjoy. We will visit Washington Island with views of the surrounding islands' rocky shores, lush forests, and peaceful tranquility. You’re on “Island Time” now and your hectic pace becomes a distant memory and meaningful “enjoyment” begins. Visit coffee shops, restaurants, scenic tower, museums (maritime, farming), lavender farm and gift shop, historic Stavkirke Church, pubs and more.
Door County is blessed with a history of many cultures, especially Scandinavian. From the Viking-like presence of the Village Hall in Ephraim, to the authentic beauty of Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant in Sister Bay, which defines the whole village. Washington Island, however, harbors a real, almost hidden historical treasure: the Stavkirke (Church of Staves) based on drawings of one built in Borgund, Norway in 1150 AD.

I first did the Ohio to Erie trail (OTET in 2021, which is really 22 trails that take you across the state. I did it just to get another 300 plus miles for the year but I found the Ohio network to be amazing. This will be my 5th time doing it!
So let’s bike the Ohio to Erie Trail. If not on your bucket list yet, it will be! A virtually undiscovered gem.
We saw this trip priced at over $3,000 by more than one tour provider and said hey let's see if we can do more affordably for 12 to 25 meetup cool kids"! $1,950 double occupancy. Single occupancy add $995. Non rider $1,100.
This scenic 326-mile trail links the Ohio River to Lake Erie, primarily on rail trails and canal paths. It traverses four major cities, numerous quaint small towns and miles of pastoral countryside. Do it before more and more people learn of it and add it to their bucket list! This trail can be done on a road bike as it is paved until the 20th of the 20 trails. The last section is finely packed limestone. For that section 28mm tires are ok, but it’s better to have 30mm+.

Have a fun ride at your own pace and leave the hotel whenever you wish. Hopefully this is a vacation! There is no mass start. Most riders leave between 7-9am. Relax and take your time, since SAG vehicles stay out until the last rider finishes. Rider's average speed on our tours range from 9-20mph, so there's always someone to ride with if you wish. We encourage riders to take their time, stop at see the sights, and take in a bakery or 3. We have several local Ohio Meetup friends who will ride sections with us.Note if you do not need a hotel in afterwards in Cleveland we can reduce $135 assuming your roommate (if any) does not need a room. Reduction is $270 per room In Cin or Cle, so savings of $135 if double occupancy,

Let's bike and/or kayak Presque Isle-lake Erie 16mi flat pedal- with 1 hour paddle option.
July 2025-We will be doing a one day adventure between our two 1 week long tours. This is after the 326 mile ride on the Ohio to Erie Trail (in Ohio) and before the Erie Canal Trail 360 mile ride starting in Buffalo going to Albany.
We are staying overnight at the Candlewood Suites in Erie. We can meet there at 6pm in lobby then go out for dinner at 630 for dinner for those who are interested. I reserved 8 rooms and only need 1. Cancellable until June 1. $174 a night with taxes, email me if you want one njriverman@yahoo.com. The hotel has free parking and the Suites have kitchens but breakfast is on your own. Hotels with breakfast were 200+.
The next day we will bike 9 miles, then there is the opportunity to kayak or canoe for 1 hours. Then we bike about 7 miles and stop for ice cream and food, I guess I should say food then ice cream lol.
