It's congee and rice rolls time! The weather at this time of year should be perfect for enjoying these Cantonese breakfast foods. And where better to do a congee crawl than along Steeles Avenue East? It's the birthplace of the famed Congee Queen and other reputable restaurants.

We'll visit J-Town, the oldest Japanese shopping district in the GTA. Then, it's up through industrial districts with hidden food gems. A massive cathedral is the next landmark before we reach a swathe of Chinese restaurants at Warden and Steeles.

Come earlier to check out the flea market at Shops On Steeles & 404
