Forest Mindfulness with Ancestral Oak Trees, Arroyo Trabuco Trail RSM
Details
ABOUT THE MINDFULNESS SESSION:
We will enjoy an easy walk amongst the ancestral oak trees and crystalline creek, stopping at various spots to harmonize the mind-body-soul with gentle stretches, breathing exercises, slow flowing moves and moving meditations to connect to the 5 elements and nature.
Our gatherings are warm and welcoming to all, offering time for light conversation and meaningful connection. The goal is to meet like-minded lovers of wellness, nature and mindfulness practices.
Walking, along with these mindfulness practices, helps to transmute stress, enhance vitality, and regulate the nervous system, so we can return to our natural state of peace and joy.
DIRECTIONS: Drive to the Tijeras Creek Golf Club and drive to the very back parking lot, pass the driving range and exit the back or north gate onto Ria (street). Drive about 100 feet or so onto Ria Street and park on that residential street. We will meet by the fence and large chain link gate. We will access the trail through the opening to the side of the gate where there is also trail signage for Arroyo Trabuco Wilderness Area.

I am so grateful for you, your participation and generous contributions.
PLEASE NOTE: We start promptly at 10:00am. If you show up past 10:00am, try to find us by walking to Grandfather Tree or heading down towards the creek.
WALK STATS: The distance covered is less than 2 miles with no more than a 150 ft. elevation gain. There are several areas with uneven ground/river rocks/leaves and possibly 1 stream crossing (optional). This is a beginner walk with only parts being uneven. The trails are beside the creek and wide, fire road type trails.
WHAT TO BRING: Sturdy, close-toed trail (preferably waterproof) shoes/boots, water, hat and layered clothing. Optional opportunity to take your shoes off and get your feet wet.
NO RESTROOMS: The closest restroom is at Tijeras Creek Golf Course. Walk in the front lobby entrance and restrooms will be on the right.
FREE RESIDENTIAL PARKING: On Ria Street.
WILDERNESS PARK PRECAUTIONS: We need to be aware of snakes, ticks, flying insects, poison oak, and natural hazards along the trail. Long hiking pants or long leggings and close toed hiking shoes are highly recommended. Feet might get wet at creek crossings.
ABOUT ARROYO TRABUCO TRAIL: This trail is heavily wooded with lots of wildlife, picturesque mountain views, and the sounds of a flowing stream. We will be exploring only a small portion, but this is a Mountain to Sea trail, traveling through Trabuco Canyon to the Pacific Ocean.
