Float Your Boat | light festival, live music & food at Warners Bay Foreshore

Join me at the Warners Bay Foreshore to share the fun and delight of the Float Your Boat light festival, celebrating life on and around beautiful Lake Macquarie. We'll have time to explore the live music and entertainment across the foreshore park, and watch the grand Flotilla Parade together. The boats and water craft of all shapes and sizes, transformed into incredible light displays, are a great inspiration for colourful photography.

There’ll be time to relax as well and enjoy conversation and a picnic with new and old friends. Choose dinner from one of the local food vendors or bring your favourite picnic fare.

This is a free event that welcomes families.

Agenda
I'll meet you at 5.30PM outside the main entry to the Performing Arts Centre in Lake Street.

At 5.45PM we'll make our way across to the Foreshore Reserve and find a good place for our picnic rugs.

Once settled we'll be able to enjoy the live music and entertainment program and socialise together. There'll be time to explore the choices at the food vendors or relax and unpack your own picnic favourites.

At about 7.40PM The Flotilla will be coming in from Belmont and there'll an an opportunity to have some fun taking photographs or voting online for the best-decorated boat.

We'll finish up after The Flotilla has continued on its way to Marmong Point.

This is a popular event so allow time for finding parking on-street or in the John Street public carpark. There are also several bus services operating along The Esplanade at the Foreshore.
