Details
Not to be confused with Golf, Disc Golf is played by throwing a disc (Frisbee style-ish, but smaller and denser) into a basket using the fewest number of throws possible. The baskets are placed throughout the park as separate "holes". A 9 hole course can be played in about 1-2 hours, depending on the size of our group. The course is free so the only requirement to play is a disc which can be had for around $12 ($25 for a set of three) online, at Meijer, or wherever sporting goods are sold. Our group is very beginner friendly so don't feel that you have to know what you're doing! The park also includes a baseball/softball field, sand volleyball, walking path, and swings if you want to hang around after.
We will meet next to the "City of Troy Disc Golf" sign in the back part of the parking lot. Look for a large white 6'5" Polish-American man with dark hair wearing a blue name tag that says "Big O". In the case of inclement weather we will cancel and reschedule.
