Yin Yoga for Embodiment
Details
We will be partnering with Minnesota Zen Meditation Center (MZMC) as a guest teacher in January/February to offer Yin Yoga with Somatics for Embodiment.
This is a drop-in class, with a suggested donation. No need to pre-register.
Just bring yourself, and a yoga mat and bolster/blocks if you have any. There will also be a limited number of props and mats for use as well.
This class offers a deep reset of the nervous system with meditative cues for embodiment and self-agency, as we utilize supported long-held shapes to target the deeper connective tissues of the body. We will explore finding softness and release in deep sensation through the use of props, breath-work and sensory exploration.
For beginners and advanced practitioners alike -- no experience necessary. Through the slow, supportive pace of Yin and inclusive cueing and props, we provide accessibility for bodies of all shapes and abilities. Come as you are. Leave supported and nourished.
