Yin Yoga for Embodiment
Details
We will be partnering with Minnesota Zen Meditation Center (MZMC) as a guest teacher in January/February to offer Yin Yoga with Somatics for Embodiment.
This is a drop-in class, with a suggested donation of $20. No need to pre-register.
Please bring any props you are able to (mat, blankets, bolster, blocks), as we have a limited supply available at the center.
This class offers a deep reset of the nervous system with meditative cues for embodiment and self-agency, as we utilize supported long-held shapes to target the deeper connective tissues of the body. We will explore finding softness and release in deep sensation through the use of props, breath-work and sensory exploration.
For beginners and advanced practitioners alike -- no experience necessary. We provide accessibility for bodies of all shapes and abilities. Come as you are. Leave supported and nourished.
Melody Oaks, OTR/L, RYT 200 is a registered trauma-informed yoga instructor with specialized training in Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra.
