Trinnacle Walk from Dovestones Reservoir
Details
An iconic rock formation you won't want to miss.
A bit of a scramble to get up there and NOT recommended by the Peak National Park so we won't be encouraging anyone to pose on the rock itself but ultimately that choice is yours.
A truly lovely walk showing the Northern Peak District at it's best.
Our route takes us from the car park at Dovestones Reservoir along both Dovestones, Yeoman Hey and Greenfield Reservoirs before launching into some wonderful pristine open country leading into Birchen Clough. We then come back on ourselves to Raven Stones Brow which is where the Trinnacle is before heading south all the way back to Chew Reservoir before taking the GM Ringway andf Oldham Way back to the start.
Please take LOTS of pictures and upload them to this Meetup page so everyone can see how much fun you had.
Dogs are welcome as long as not constantly barking and jumping up. Owners must keep dogs under control at all times and place on a lead when near farm animals or signs tell us to do so.
Bring snacks, fluids and a lunch packup. Waterproofs would be a good idea too.
Lift sharing is strongly encouraged, just leave a message below if offering or asking for a lift.
Please plenty of time for parking and kitting up just in case and share transport if you can.
We do not wait for latecomers!
