Autism Expressed Women's Group is a peer-led, shared-experience group.

  1. How would you describe your parents (or caregivers) and how they raised you?
  2. Have your parents (or caregivers) changed over time? How so?
  3. What do you have in common with your parents (or caregivers)?
  4. What have you learned from your parents (or caregivers)?
  5. What is your relationship with your parents (or caregivers) like, now? How come?
  6. What do you wish your parents (or caregivers) would understand about you?
  7. What do you wish you could understand about them?
  8. Did your relationship with your parents (or caregivers) change after you learned you are autistic?
  9. Considering your relationship with your parents (or caregivers), are there any tools, resources, or strategies that have helped you?
  10. Anything else to share?

Format

  • Acknowledgment of country
  • Welcome
  • Group purpose and procedures
  • Individuals are invited to share on the topic (3-5 minutes each)
  • Ten minutes of general discussion.
  • Closing

Inclusivity
Clinically diagnosed, self-realised, and questioning are most welcome.

All members of marginalised genders, including non-binary individuals, male-to-female trans individuals, and female-to-male trans individuals, are welcome.

Disclosure of gender identity is welcome but never mandatory.
