There's nothing quite like a 40-tonne humpback bursting clean out of the water right beside us - the gasps, camera snapping, the chaos, and the whole team buzzing at once. That moment alone is worth the trip - Let's Go!!

We're treating ourselves to one of the most spectacular days on the water we can have in South East Queensland — watching magnificent humpback whales up close in beautiful Moreton Bay. 🐋🌊 Breaching, tail-slapping, blowing, and occasionally just drifting alongside the boat just metres from our pre-booked main deck window tables. We'll enjoy our fresh picnic lunch with close-up window views, then if we wish, pop outside to the open deck for an even higher vantage point — and all with fun company and no shortage of photo ops😄📸

About Our Day
We'll travel together to Redcliffe — meet spots below — where we'll hop aboard the impressive Eye Spy for a five-hour whale watching adventure. 🚢
Captain Kerry Lopez and her friendly crew will share fascinating stories and commentary throughout. When a whale bursts clear of the water, tail-slaps the surface with a mighty crash, or drifts right alongside - those are the moments we'll still be talking about on the way home. 🤩
Lunch is a fresh picnic lunchbox enjoyed right at our window seats — chicken, garden salad, potato salad, fruit and more. 🥗 Great food, great company, and whales doing their thing just metres away.

After Our Cruise 🌅
We expect to be back at the jetty around 2–2.30pm. From there, we'll take a gentle stroll along the Redcliffe waterfront and we're planning to pop into a waterfront cafe for a cuppa and a good old debrief - because there'll be plenty to talk about! ☕😄

⭐ Redcliffe Meet Option
For members northside or local to Redcliffe who'd prefer to meet us at the jetty, your price is $255 as the fuel component won't apply to you. Everything else is exactly the same - same cruise, same window tables, same great day out, same team. Like all our events, there are various costs that go into making the day happen behind the scenes, so the small difference in price simply reflects the travel components that don't apply to you 🐋 Suggested parking is the Captain Cook car park (about 150m from the jetty) or paid parking off Sutton Street. Heads up - street parking can be time-limited in Redcliffe so check those signs carefully. Please be at the Redcliffe Jetty Info Centre by 8.45am to meet our group and enjoy the day together.

REFUNDS & CONDITIONS
- Please ensure your Meetup Email Notifications are ON for updates
- As with all our adventures, No Smoking/Vapour and No Mobile phoning/texting while in company as is considered discourteous
- Please bring all medications which you would normally take at home
- If you are prone to Motion/Sea sickness, please bring appropriate medication with you
- All drinks are at your own expense
- Failure to arrive on time will void the ticket entirely with no refunds
- Bookings close 4 July 2026, or when minimum 8 RSVPs are claimed, whichever comes first
- Minimum attendees = 8; Maximum attendees = 12
- If minimum RSVPs are not attained by closing date 4 July 2026, a full refund is provided
- No refunds issued after 15 July 2026
- If you cancel after bookings close, I will endeavour to sell your ticket for you, but no guarantees
- Reselling tickets is a courtesy, not an entitlement
- Refunds directed to your bank account only
- Reselling a ticket incurs a $22 Cancellation/Amendment Fee
- Tickets may not be sold after 15 July 2026
- If you resign or are removed from our Meetup group, the Cancellation/Amendment Fee still applies, even if the adventure has not yet commenced
- Tickets may not be passed on to another person without prior approval
- In the event of any changes or amendments to the adventure or itinerary, or reallocation of hosts, there are no refunds
- In the very rare event that a member's behaviour is significantly disruptive and impacts the group's experience, the host reserves the right to discontinue that member's participation in the tour. This includes any unused portions of the ticket, such as return transportation. Unfortunately, no refunds will be provided in these instances, and the member will be responsible for their own return arrangements and associated costs
