See all- Journey to the End of the Night (urban chase game)Trafalgar Square, London
SocialSportsMix have teamed up with London Journey for this creative urban game! (Guess what: Last year we had 83 players!)
NOTE: You must pre-register at https://londonjourney.org/ to actually play!
Journey is a free volunteer-run interactive urban chase game in which hundreds of players traverse the city, completing challenges at checkpoints, guided by checkpoint agents from fairytales, while evading chasers. Get caught and become a chaser yourself, or make it to the end of the night without getting caught to win!
π°οΈ You are invited to take part in a most unique β and supposedly safe β Time experiment in the heart of London, the city of spires.
But something went wrong.
The machine ruptured, tearing through reality and scattering its elements across the city. Now, displaced souls from distant eras wander lost β and strange adversaries infected by a time parasite hunt in the shadows.
You were caught in the blast β not fully infected but changed just enough to slip between fractured timelines. That makes you one of the few who can help.
Can you solve the riddles of the lost, recover what was broken, and outrun the infected through the twisting alleys of time?
Come challenge yourself and live this journey to the end of the night: Time rupture!

- WHERE/WHEN
The course, which begins at Trafalgar Square will be approximately 10km and may take 2 to 4 hours to complete (accounting for interference). Check-in will be from 4:00-4:30pm and the game will begin at 5pm. Do your best to be on time.
- How do I play?
Online pre-registration on our website will open soon and is required to play. Full rules of gameplay will be presented there.- Where has it been played?
The game has been played in cities all over the world (see https://ichaseyou.com), including in London in 2007-2009 and 2024 and we're bringing it back on Saturday the 28th of June 2025!- Why is the game free, is there a catch?
We organise Journey to the End of the Night because we are passionate about helping Londoners to get out of their comfort zones, explore the city, get creative and immerse themselves in imagination. We love doing it and spend several months preparing the game. It is important to us to be able to keep it free to players so that it is accessible to anyone. That said, we do incur costs for the game materials, maps, ribbons, etc (typically a few hundred pounds) so if you're able to support us with a donation of Β£5 it really helps! https://buymeacoffee.com/londonjourney- Are there ways I can get involved before the event?
If you're interested in being a part of the creative volunteer community organising Journey, please visit LondonJourney.org and fill out our volunteer interest form or email LondonJourney24@gmail.com and we'll get in touch! - Regents Park Rounders and Social/Board GamesChester Road, London
Come join us for some fun in the park
This is a weekly social park gathering with optional sports.
2pm Rounders
3:30pm Social/Board games in the parkHow to play rounders
Not played rounders before? It's a traditional English sport for everyone, even the unsporty. Here's a video of us playing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6Bya3T5W3kRounders is a bat and ball game similar to baseball played by two teams. Your team will be either fielding or batting before swapping after the innings. When batting, the aim is to hit the ball, then try and run around the four posts. Your team gets a rounder if you make it round the four posts without stopping or getting out. You are out if when you hit the ball someone catches the ball before it reaches the ground or someone stumps a post before you get there.
The rules will be explained at the beginning of each meetup with a practice round at the beginning. We play a slightly modified version of the official rules where if you are out, it's not game over for you. Your team will lose a life instead. This will give everyone multiple opportunities to bat.
It's very simple to pick up and the ball we use is very soft. We are very beginner friendly and the focus is on having fun rather than being competitive. We attract attendees of all ages and sporting level. You are welcome to come and watch only too. We usually have a few people who do so while having a picnic and enjoying the park.
Come and meet us
Meet at 2pm in Regents Park. Here is the map of where we will be playing in the park (Cumberland Green):

The main rounders game will finish at 3:30pm and this is followed by social/board games or beginner friendly mixed gender football.
Social/Board Games
We usually have a mixture of games including but not limited to:
Exploding Kittens
Catan
Ticket to Ride
Cartographers
Carcassonne
Blood on the ClocktowerWhat we play will depend on the group as a whole. If you have anything specific you are interested in please do bring it along or leave us a message to make sure we bring it.
Even if the meetup event is full we usually have space for boardgames so feel free to come along for that even if you are on the waiting list!
Football
For mixed gender football we aim to have roughly equal numbers of men and women and 3 ability levels (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced). There may be limited spaces for men for football as we are usually oversubscribed.
Free or play for charity
Our Sunday social and rounders events are free for everyone. The organisers volunteer their time and fund for the equipment, public liability insurance, marketing and meetup costs to make this happen. We would like our events to raise awareness and money for worthwhile charities.
If you appreciate our events, please consider making a donation on our fundraising page to our supported charity, War Child. To donate and for more info, please visit: https://www.justgiving.com/page/social-sports-mix-warchild
We will also promote fundraising pages suggested or owned by our attendees. Get in touch if you are attending and also charity fundraising.
