General Membership Mtg / Program: North Country Scenic Trail

Join us for our General Membership meeting to see what we are all about. You do not need to be a member to attend the meeting.
This meeting is held the last Tuesday of each month (except for June (our annual picnic is held instead) and December (our holiday party is held instead).
Our general membership meeting is followed by a different and exciting program or presentation each month, beginning around 7:30 PM.
Program - North Country National Scenic Trail
The North Country National Scenic Trail stretches approximately 4,800 miles across eight states, starting in Middlebury, Vermont (connecting with the Appalachian Trail in the Green Mountain National Forest) and ending in Lake Sakakawea State Park in North Dakota. It travels through New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota.
If you have ever been interested in this trail and are thinking about hiking sections of it, come to the February 24th Solar Outdoors Monthly Meeting. Pastor Mike Rice of Faith Covenant Church will be speaking about his 420 mile hike on the North Country of which the majority of it was in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan from Tahquamenon Falls to the wester edge of Porcupine Mountains. He will speak about his routes, his gear selection, and the navigational apps that made this trip an experience he'll never forget.
