This will be a relatively short hike of about 2miles with about 200 ft. of elevation gain. The walk will be guided by trained docents at a slow pace with many stops to observe and describe the native flora, fauna, and geology of the area.

If we have clear skies, the ocean views along this trail will be incredible. Catalina Island will be right in front of us and if you get lucky, you may be able to spot a grey whale spout. We will be hiking during the whales' annual migration to Baja California.

There are many wonderful nature walk leaders/docents on this enjoyable nature walk. We hope to see you there.

Upon arrival at the trail head, sign in at the Conservancy table. You will be directed to the area to wait for the next docent. Feel free to let the hosts at the table know that you would like to join a hike with some of your friends. After the nature walk, you may also want to join hiking friends to check out some of the other trails in the preserve.
