MT NELSON SURROUNDS PLUS DORNEY HOUSE - a 1978 heritage-listed modernist home

Date : Saturday 27 December, starting at 9.30am from Mt Nelson Signal Station. Approx 2.5 hours (including breaks) - walking distance approx 6kms

Description of walk
Starting from Mt Nelson Signal Station we will complete a loop through the surrounding bushland heading towards Enterprise Road then returning to Signal Station via a well formed bike trail. We will then complete another loop towards Porters Hill to look at Dorney House and the remains of Fort Nelson. Bush tracks, fire trails and bike trails will be utilised. A bit of huff and puff on the second loop but nothing too difficult. Great views of River Derwent from Signal Station and Dorney House.
