DESCRIPTION OF HIKE
Hidden away in the back roads of Buckland are the most amazing sandstone cliffs and caves that are certain to make your jaw drop.

The Bluff River Gorge is narrow, about 80m deep, and characterised by its steep sides with the river flowing slowly below.

From a small carpark on Buckland Road we follow the 4 wheel drive track on the boundary of the Swansea State Forest before picking up a taped track which takes up to a point where the track descends into the gorge.

The narrow track winds its way along (and up and down) the side of the gorge passing through some impressive sandstone cliffs with significant overhangs.

We will be completing a circuit on one side of the gorge - no river crossings on this version of the hike.
