Ward Pound Ridge Trailside Nature Museum to Raven Rock
Details
You are invited to join us for a moderate 6-mile hike with about 1500-feet elevation gain. This hike will take about 4 to 5 hours depending on trail conditions.
Parking fee of $10.00 starts at 8:00 AM. We will meet at 7:59 for a prompt 8:15 departure. Trailside Nature Museum parking GPS: 41.25816, -73.58835. Located in Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Route 121, Old Post Rd, Cross River, NY 10518.
We will head towards Kimberely Bridge. Continue south on Blue towards Gilmore Pond. At marker #17 we will move to W to RT to Raven Rock. Then proceed towards the site of the Former Fire Tower; continuing on B to marker #56 W to cars.
Following is a detail with numbered intersections of the hike:
Start on the W to 56. East on B to Kimberly Bridge. South on B towards Gilmore Pond. At #17 W to #67. RT to Raven Rock. To #48 to #58 to #49 to #16 pass Former Fire Tower to #15 to B #14 to #65 to #56 W to Trailside Nature Museum.
