Eighth Night of Hanukkah: House of David Dinner & Movie Night

Sunday, December 21: Broncos, Hanukkah, and House of David Gathering. Join us Sunday, December 21, for the Eighth Night of Hanukkah and our House of David Dinner and Movie Night at Frances Farr’s house. Arrive early between 2:00 PM and 2:25 PM with chips, dips, or snacks to watch the Broncos vs. Jaguars game (2:05 PM kickoff on NFL+). We’ll light the eighth candle at sunset precisely at 4:40 PM, with Shalom Jerusalem as background music. Meet at 4:44 PM, pray at 5:15 PM, and enjoy Marry Me Chicken prepared by Frances and John, plus falafels with tzatziki sauce from Devorah Phillipe. Hot spiced apple cider (Battle Brew) and wedding cookies will be served before the movie. Please bring a salad, side, snack, or 7.5-ounce non-alcoholic drink to share; water is provided. We’ll celebrate Sheryl Betts’s birthday (December 20) with cake. Watch House of David Season 2, Episode 7, “A Royal Wedding,” focusing on David and Michal’s wedding amid kingdom turmoil, Saul’s paranoia, grain silo destruction, and prophetic foreshadowing that builds major conflict.
