How do you meditate? What are some different types of meditation? How can you apply meditation to various parts of your life? Whether you're curious about these questions or simply wish to be part of a meditation community cultivating mindfulness, this class provides a welcoming environment for everyone.

Led by Zen Master Sebastian Rizzon, the session begins with an introduction to meditation, covering some reasons to meditate and exploring various forms of meditation. In this class, we'll learn how to incorporate breathing, gratitude, forgiveness, affirmations, art, exercise, and daily activities into our meditation practice.

Following the meditation session, Zen Master Sebastian Rizzon will take questions from the audience. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions to deepen their understanding of meditation, Zen, life, or even the mind itself!

All are welcome to attend, regardless of prior experience or background. While the class is free of charge, donations are greatly appreciated to support the Zen Art Center's mission to cultivate inner peace and harmony in the world. **[Zen Master Sebastian Rizzon](https://www.mindlightway.org/zenmastersebastianrizzon)** is the founder and guiding teacher of the Mind Light Way School of Zen, dedicated to inspiring the next generation of Zen teachers and promoting a cultural shift toward compassion.

As the 80th teacher in his lineage tracing back through Great Zen Master Chang Sik Kim, Great Zen Master Seung Sahn, and to the Buddha, he bridges time-honored Zen traditions—like koan study and sitting meditation—with innovative practices such as moving meditation and creative expression.

His approach emphasizes moment-to-moment awareness in all activities, from martial arts to artistic endeavors, encouraging students to explore how thoughts and intentions shape reality. Driven by a vision of transforming individuals and society, Master Rizzon’s teachings focus on cultivating love, deepening our understanding of interconnectedness, and empowering practitioners to become agents of harmony in the world.

His mission is to inspire the next generation of Zen teachers to serve as global leaders and agents of change, and to act as a cultural catalyst for a paradigm shift toward compassion.
