Saturdays.ai Barcelona

Saturdays.ai Barcelona is part of the #AISaturdays movement, a non-profit initiative in a mission to democratize top AI education and access to exponential technologies.

Every Saturday from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

The learning experience is structured through saturdays where the #AIFellows (students), led by Facilitators, learn the most relevant techniques to build real artificial intelligence powered products.

In the first half of the course, we follow a "code2learn" approach, where we do exercises using jupyter notebooks and other tools to learn the foundations of machine learning and deep learning. We follow the fast.ai lessons (both for ML and DL) and the MIT Reinforcement Learning Open Course.

In the second half of the course, until Demo Day, we jump into the "build2learn" phase, where our #AIFellows work towards building a real project with real impact using the learning from the "code2learn" phase and helping each other in a collaborative way.

Finally, on DemoDay we present the AI Projects with a preference for using AI to maximize social impact.

With this approach, AI Saturdays has become the 1st and most successful AI hub to get into Artificial Intelligence to more than 15k people, from students to Sr. professionals, including postdocs and startup founders. Some of our fellows in Barcelona have managed to go from 0 AI Knowledge to get accepted into Harvard, Cornell or get their first job in Google among others.
