Saturday Drinks (starting at The Old Bar)

Fancy a couple of chilled beers on a Saturday afternoon? Summer's on the way out but that doesn't mean we can't at least get out and enjoy ourselves and check out some of the fantastic bars this city has to offer. So come join us on Saturday 19th October for some drinks and silly conversation.

The plan is to do a bit of a bar crawl and check out a few different places, but we'll start things off at The Old Bar at 4pm, where we'll stay until at least 6pm and then move on to somewhere else and see where the evening takes us. Will we go for cocktails, or maybe artisinal cider? The group will decide on the day.

The Old Bar is fairly easy to find, located at the top of some steps between Mercado tram station and Plaza Toros.

When you arrive, look for either Mark (bald guy with a beard, wearing a rock t-shirt, probably holding a pint and staring off into the middle distance) or Johnny (looks like Mark but with less mileage and will probably be dressed like a hipster incarnation of Doctor Who). If you need help finding us, message us either here or in the WhatsApp group.

If you want to join us later in the afternoon / evening, you're more than welcome to. I'll post updates on where we are as we move on this event page, or you can find out where we are in the WhatsApp group below.

For those new to the group, Alicante Drinking Buddies has a simple mission. It's a very casual group where we just meet up and go to the pub. As always, everyone's welcome - whether you want to join in for the whole thing or just pop along for a pint (or soft drink) to say hello and meet some new people, it'd be great to see you.

¿Te apetece tomar un par de cervezas frías un sábado por la tarde? El verano está a punto de terminar, pero eso no significa que no podamos salir y disfrutar un poco y visitar algunos de los fantásticos bares que ofrece esta ciudad. Así que ven con nosotros el sábado 19 de octubre para tomar unas copas y conversar un rato.

El plan es hacer una pequeña ruta de bares y visitar algunos lugares diferentes, pero empezaremos en The Old Bar a las 16:00 h, donde nos quedaremos al menos hasta las 18:00 h y luego nos trasladaremos a otro lugar para ver dónde nos lleva la noche. ¿Iremos a tomar cócteles o quizás a tomar sidra artesanal? El grupo lo decidirá durante la marcha.

Cuando llegues, busca a Mark (un hombre calvo con barba, con una camiseta de rock, probablemente sosteniendo una pinta y mirando fijamente a la distancia) o a Johnny (se parece a Mark pero con menos kilometraje y probablemente estará vestido como una encarnación hipster de Doctor Who). Si necesitas ayuda para encontrarnos, envíanos un mensaje aquí o en el grupo de WhatsApp.

Para aquellos nuevos en el grupo, Alicante Drinking Buddies tiene una misión simple. Es un grupo muy informal donde simplemente nos reunimos y vamos al pub.
