Looking for a like minded group of people to go out and enjoy a few drinks with at the weekends? Perhaps you're just visiting, maybe you want to make some new friends, or maybe you're just at a loose end and looking for something to do...
Well then look no further!
Alicante Drinking Buddies is a social group for anyone who wants to hang out and enjoy a few beers in an informal environment with like minded, friendly people in and around Alicante City. Sometimes there's a lot of us, sometimes there are only a few of us, but it's always a good, fun and welcoming atmosphere.
We visit a wide selection of pubs, bars, clubs and events, discovering new places and fun drinks, and the plans are often organic, spontaneous and sometimes even last minute. Everyone's welcome to join us, whether you're a couple, group or just flying solo, young or old, and whether you just fancy a quick drink and a chat, or a proper night out.
We speak both Spanish and English so whilst we're not strictly a language exchange, you're welcome to come along and practice (note that Mark cannot guarantee the quality of either language coming out of his mouth after 10pm)
The plan:
The general plan is we start in a designated place and stay there for a few hours. After that we'll see where the night takes us, we might stay or we might move on somewhere else, or might call it a night. We'll post the starting place on each event and the times we'll definitely be there, but if you're coming later and want to join us, you'll be able to find out where we are in our WhatsApp group.
Events will probably take place on either Friday or Saturday nights (at first at least) and will probably be posted a day or two before they happen so stay tuned.
The rules:
All we ask is you be please be respectful to other members of the group - this is a social group, not a dating club (you've got Tinder for that) and stalking or harassment won't be tolerated.

Alicante Drinking Buddies es un grupo para socializar, donde todos sois bienvenidos, pasar un buen rato, disfrutar de algunas cervezas en un ambiente informal con personas afines y amigables, en Alicante y alrededores.
Probaremos una amplia selección de pubs, bares, clubs y eventos, descubriremos nuevos lugares y bebidas peculiares, y los planes a menudo serán orgánicos, espontáneos y probablemente de última hora. Todos sois bienvenidos a unirse, con pareja, grupos, en solitario, cualquier rango de edad, o si sólo quieres algo de beber y conversación, o una salida nocturna marchosa.
El grupo aún está en su primera etapa, pero pensamos que, dado que somos nuevos en la ciudad y a menudo disfrutamos de algunas bebidas los fines de semana, podría ser interesante ver si hay alguien por ahí que quiere unirse a nosotros.
Hablamos inglés y español, y aunque no somos un grupo de intercambio de idiomas estrictamente, también puedes venir y practicar (ten en cuenta que Mark no garantiza la calidad de ningún idioma que salen de su boca después de las 10pm)
El plan:
El plan general será empezar en el lugar elegido y quedarnos por algunas horas, luego, depende de cómo vaya la noche podemos ir a algún otro bar o quedarnos en el mismo. Publicaremos el lugar de inicio de cada evento o reunión y las horas en que estaremos ahí, pero si vienes más tarde y quieres unirte a nosotros, podrás saber dónde estamos en nuestro grupo de WhatsApp.
Los eventos probablemente serán los viernes o sábados por la noche (al menos al principio) y se publicarán uno o dos días antes de la fecha, así que estad atentos.
Las normas:
Todo lo que pedimos es que seas respetuoso con los demás miembros del grupo: este es un grupo para socializar, no un club de citas (para citas tienes Tinder) y no se tolerarán acosos.
