We are an English-language bookstore and host a variety of events for writers and readers, including:
📖 Silent Book Club – bring the book you're reading right now, read quietly for an hour, and stick around to chat afterwards or take your social points (for showing up) and run!
🎤 Writers’ Open Mic. Nights – share your writing or come listen to the local literary talent.
If you're a writer, a reader, or someone who's simply "book-curious," you are in the right place.

Join Valencia-based journalist and author Eugene Costello at Book Lovers Valencia on Thursday 22 October at 20:00 for an evening of conversation, readings and book signing.
In Or the Bull Kills You, Eugene charts his journey through kidney failure, dialysis and a transplant at Valencia’s Hospital Doctor Peset.
With candour, dark humour and gratitude for the people who kept him alive, he writes about fear, friendship and finding a way forward when life takes an unexpected turn.
Eugene will discuss the experiences behind the book, how he turned them into writing, and making a home in Spain.
There will be time for questions and signed copies, including his novels Puta Madre and Beyond Puta Madre.
Come along for stories, conversation and proof that even a hospital stay can provide material — although there are easier ways to research a book.
About Eugene
Eugene Costello is a British journalist and author based in Valencia, and the founder and editor of Valencia Life. His journalism spans travel, human interest and the occasional story too strange to turn down.
His books include the novels Puta Madre and Beyond Puta Madre, and Or the Bull Kills You, a collection of personal essays about kidney failure, transplantation and life in Spain. All three are available in English and Spanish.
