This group is a live model drawing session for artists of all levels, from beginners to experienced. The studio is full of windows with a view of the garden, skylights overhead, and a stage for the model. In the summer, weather permitting, the session will meet outdoors in the gardens with the model posing on a stage next to some waterfalls. The poses are: 10/2min, 4/5min, 2/10min, a 15 min break, then 20min's. The total session is 3 hours. Artists contribute $25 for the model's fee, and I pay the model $150
Artists new to this event don't need to contact me, just show up.
If it looks like only two or three artists are signed up for a session, don't be concerned: some of my artists have been coming for months, others for years, and they don't sign up on Meetup. I add any new attendee to my e-mail list to announce upcoming sessions.
The group meets on Tuesdays 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
Artists should arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to set up
People with no drawing experience are welcome. You need only bring a drawing pad of any size and drawing pencils, either soft lead or #2 charcoal.
