We're back with our next free Live event and we want you to come along and join us on the last Wednesday of the month for poetry, Spanish wine, tips from a poetry pro and conversation in one of Madrid’s most atmospheric cultural spaces.
Published in The Spectator and widely respected in contemporary poetry circles, Matthew Stewart is a poet, blogger and wine trade professional who works and lives in Extremadura, Spain. He runs the Rogue Strands poetry blog and co-runs the Rogue Strands poetry reading series, championing established and emerging poets.
His collections include Whatever You Do, Just Don’t (HappenStance Press, 2023) and The Knives of Villalejo (Eyewear, 2017), praised for its precision, resonance and vivid evocation of life in Spain. His work explores landscape, memory, wine culture, personal history and the experience of living between between two countries.
