Sirât ... is Spain's Oscar Nominee! // Just Going to the Movies
Detalles
# Sirât
The 2026 Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Film and recipient of the Jury Prize at Cannes Film Festival with its current 11 (eleven!) nominations for GOYAS (Oscars is the US equivalent of Goya Awards), this is one of the most celebrated Spanish films in recent cultural memory.
On Tuesday, January 27 at 16:00/4:00PM Cine ABC is holding a special screening to honor the film's Oscar nomination. I am going to see it and you're welcome to join me. I am not affiliated with the film or the cinema. "Just going to the movies together" as we did for Long Walk and Danza de la Polvora last year.
The film is in its original SPANISH LANGUAGE without subtitles!

TICKETS
Make sure you book your seat now as it is a small sala
PLOT
A father and son are searching for another missing child through the secret techno/rave communes in remote parts of the Sahara. From what I've read, it's lots of visually and musically hypnotic scenes set against increasingly lawless circumstances.
REVEWS
It seems critics either "rave" about or rage against this film
Depending on how many we are, we could grab a lunch beforehand
Afterwards, I will rush to our LOL States of America standup show.
The film is in its original SPANISH LANGUAGE without subtitles!
