Carp\Drum The Slab on the Llano River, Kingsland

Let's fish upstream of the Slab bridge on Valentine's day. The granite is sculpted or molded into different shapes that gives it a lunar appearance. It's a fun scenic place to fish. You can spot a fish in the water cast and catch it.

There are carpsuckers in the Llano. There's a screenshot of one being held in two hands in the photos. Please let me know if you catch one of these rare fish!

Free parking at the TP&W sign at the campgroud is where we will meet.
There red granite that our state Capitol is made of comes from this area. Deep pools attract Guadalupe bass, carp and fresh water drum. I caught my first drum here on Christmas morning! I'm ready to go back. This event will be rescheduled if the weather is too chilly.
There's a great Mexican Restrant near by for lunch afterwards.
