Maneses River Loop from A Lagoa

Spring is here and the clocks have sprung, so we can go a bit further before it starts to cool down as the evenings will start to get warmer. This hike is a little longer than usual but should be worth it. It passes through the Campo Lameiro Archeological Park where there is a petroglyph museum, and a stretch along the Maneses River. Length 13.6km, desnivel 350m, walking time about 4hours + stops.
Suitable for all skill levels, but good fitness is required. Bastones may be useful for the rise and descent. Good hiking shoes and suitable hiking clothing needed. Bring plenty of water and snacks - we will stop for lunch around halfway along the route. There may be opportunity for a drink in A Lagoa at the end.

Meet at the Praza Campo da Feira at 11:00am. (Remember that the clocks went forward at 2:00am, so you will need to be one hour earlier if you haven't reset your clocks!) First-timers needing a lift please say so when you sign up. Some of us have cars and can offer a lift (5€ towards fuel to the driver). I can offer a lift from Guixar station at 10:00am, first come first served, maximum 4 places. If you sign up and change your mind, please cancel no later than 24 hours before the event - we won't wait for no-shows.
