In 1947 Liverpool a teenage girl (Georgina Cates) joins a theatre troupe staging Peter Pan.
Mike Newell directed this 1995 production from a Charles Wood adaptation of Beryl Bainbridge's 1989 novel. (The title comes from Peter Pan's line "To die will be an awfully big adventure.") The cast includes Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman, Peter Firth and Rita Tushingham.
