Idiolect has been my favourite word ever since I discovered it while doing my master’s in Linguistics. In simple terms, it’s a dialect of an individual. Each one of us speaks in a unique way because we’ve all had different experiences. Even twins develop their own ways of expressing themselves! We all have our own linguistic fingerprint -- isn’t that magical?
I’ve decided to start this group to help people find their Spanish fingerprint -- through classes, board game nights, poetry nights, swearword courses, and other events.
Let’s go on a quest and find your Spanish treasure!

Good question! It is a WhatsApp group in which I drop little nuggets about the Spanish language -- anything from tricky verbs and pronunciation tips to fun expressions and even a bit of etymology. It's completely free and will forever be free.
Most of the time I focus on Spanish from Spain, and sometimes I zoom in on how it’s spoken here in Valencia.

A bit about me: I’m Nina, totally obsessed with all things language. I love teaching (pretty much anything, really, even handstands 😄). At my last job, I managed a small language school and taught Spanish. I also had a group like this for my students, which was perfect for channeling my constant “Did you know…?” moments without annoying my friends 😂 When I left that job, I really missed having that space, so I started this group!

Join us in a cute cafeteria in Benimaclet where we meet for a casual conversation class every Wednesday. We chat for a bit, and then we read an interesting article and discuss it.
This class is for anyone who is comfortable with all tenses in the indicative mood (past, present, future), no subjuntivo required (we’ll work on that). If you’re unsure whether your level is high enough, message me and I’ll send you a lesson sample.

My name is Nina, and I’m here to help!
I’m a Spanish teacher and a language learner myself, and I am well aware of how important it is to practice a language outside the classroom to become fully comfortable speaking it. However, it can also be intimidating to take that step.
I have designed this multilevel semi-class to help you cross the bridge from classroom Spanish to real-world Spanish.
This class will equip you with all the vocabulary you might need to play board games in Spanish, with special attention paid to Carcassonne, as it is a game we all love to play.
The structure of this semi-class:
- The actual class, where we learn and practice all the vocabulary you might need (about 40 minutes).
- Playing Carcassonne in Spanish 100% of the time, with my guidance in case you get stuck or can’t remember a word.
You get all this knowledge and a fun-filled night for only €10!
