✨ Thérèse Raquin (1867), Émile Zola Publié en 1867, Thérèse Raquin est l’un des romans les plus marquants d’Émile Zola et une œuvre fondatrice du naturalisme. Le roman raconte l’histoire de Thérèse, enfermée dans un mariage sans amour, et de Laurent, dont la relation passionnelle conduit au crime. Zola y explore les thèmes de la culpabilité, du désir, de la violence des instincts et du poids de la morale sociale. À travers une écriture précise et souvent implacable, il analyse les comportements humains comme le produit du milieu, du corps et des passions. Court mais intense, le roman se prête particulièrement bien à un travail approfondi sur la langue, le style et l’analyse littéraire.

• 1 advanced-level theme per month (e.g. climate ethics, identity, artificial intelligence…)
• Authentic materials provided before class – curated for B2 to C1 levels
• Speaking is the focus – with thoughtful language refinement
• Ongoing correction and support during class via shared notes

🔁 Class Format (1 hour)

Each week’s class includes:
15–20 min: Free, spontaneous conversation
Current events, personal reflections, open discussion
10–15 min: Analytical conversation or short presentations
Opinion-sharing, reacting to articles or podcasts
25–30 min: Deep-dive discussion on the monthly theme
Debates, nuanced conversation, argument-building – with key phrases provided
Classes are paced to support both fluency and precision, while maintaining a relaxed and motivating atmosphere.

Every Wednesdays at 6pm Paris time.

🎯 Level: B1 to B2 (Intermediate) -
Groups of 2-5 participants (2 spots left in this group!)

Perfect if you can handle everyday conversations and want to deepen your fluency, express more nuanced ideas, and speak with more spontaneity and precision.

🗓️ How It Works
> 1 rich theme per month (e.g. societal change, art & culture, personal growth...)
> Authentic resources shared before class – curated for B1 to B2 learners
> Emphasis on real communication – not grammar drills
> Live corrections and group notes during class

🔁 Class Format (1 hour)
Each week’s class includes:
- 10–15 min: Open conversation & check-in
Catch up, share highlights from your week, discuss spontaneous topics
- 10–15 min: Discussion of current events or prepared mini-presentations
News clips, short articles, or your own 2-3 minute talk (with support!)
- 30–35 min: In-depth conversation on the monthly theme
Build arguments, agree/disagree, debate respectfully – with key vocabulary support

👥 Small Groups = More Speaking Time
Groups are kept small (2 to 5 participants) to ensure everyone gets plenty of time to speak and receive individual feedback.
