Green Classics Club: Small is Beautiful by E.F. Schumacher

The grim state of the natural world today can rob of us the awe and wonder it deserves. Yet such magic and inspiration can help us understand the path forward. Join the Green Classics Club to read and be inspired by some of the most celebrated environmental works of our time.

This month we will read Small is Beautiful: Economics as if People Mattered by E.F. Schumacher. The Guardian's Madeleine Bunting called it a 'radical challenge to the 20th century's intoxication with what Schumacher described as "gigantism."'

This event is free, but please get your copy from the wonderful English bookstore that hosts our book club meetings, Backstory. To cover Meetup fees, we also request a €2 donation.

You are welcome (even encouraged) to join us even if you haven't read the book but want to hear and join the discussion about it. Feel free to bring a friend, too. Hope to see you!
