Welcome to “Comedy Speakeasy”, the hidden gem of Lisbon’s growing comedy scene! Happening most Saturday evenings at Xafarix, a historic venue tucked away in the heart of the city.

Doors open a bit earlier, giving you time to grab a drink at the bar and mingle with others before the show. At 9pm, the show begins, featuring a carefully curated selection of the best comedians from the local Lisbon scene and special guests from around the world.

Xafarix’s intimate jazz club atmosphere is perfect to unwind from the day, with longer sets by experienced comedians.

and special headliner is Berlin-based Lebanese firecracker CARMEN CHRAIM!

Carmen's been doing comedy for over a decade across Europe, opened for legends like Judah Friedlander and Todd Barry, performs in four languages, and has been living in Germany for such a long time to the point that she now eats her Humus with paprika powder on top. Her high-energy, rapid-fire style and razor-sharp crowd work have made her one of the most in-demand comedians on the European English-language circuit. She's bringing all of this energy to Lisbon and frankly, we are not emotionally prepared.
