This group includes events for standup comedy in English all over Lisbon, Portugal.
Those who love comedy, or who are curious to come to their first comedy show, all are welcome. Shows will all take place in English, and may include some adult or edgy topics, so please be aware in case you're sensitive to some topics.
So come have some drinks, share some laughs, and make new friends!

As two Latino comedians living abroad, we've spent a lot of time being wanted by immigration offices, government agencies, paperwork departments, and occasionally romantic partners (one more than the other won’t say which).Join Brazilian comedian Francesco and Costa Rican comedian Brandon for a special work-in-progress show as they prepare new solo hours and test material before taking it on the road across Europe (or at least as far as the Schengen Agreement and low-cost airlines will allow 😮💨).
Expect jokes about immigration, identity, culture clashes, language barriers, bureaucracy, family expectations, and the unique experience of having names that somehow don't match what people expect.
As Latinos, we don't mind working, so come see how much effort we've put into this. 🕺
And if you're from AIMA, their names are João and José, all documents are in order, and there is absolutely nothing suspicious happening here.

The venue (Selva Comedy Cafe) will serve craft beer, wine, cocktails (espresso martini, g&t, lisbon mule, etc.), Why Not organic sodas, kombucha, and some light snacks! If you get hungry, we have a partnership with our neighborhood small business Rico Pizza and you can order a New York style sourdough pizza with the freshest ingredients delivered right to your seat at the comedy show!
