In today’s society, women are expected to have a successful career and build a family — these women tell jokes.

Headlining the show is Berlin-based Lebanese firecracker Carmen Chraim. She’s been doing comedy for over 10 years across Europe, opened for Judah Friedlander and Todd Barry, performs in four languages, and has been living in Germany so long she now eats her hummus with paprika powder on top. Her high-energy, rapid-fire style and razor-sharp crowd work have made her one of the most in-demand comedians on the European English-language circuit. She’s bringing her show to Lisbon and we are not emotionally prepared.

This edition, we proudly feature our hand-picked women comedians. The selection criteria are based on sense of humor, empathy, and alcoholism. It’s a pay-what-you-can show, i.e., the admission is free, and at the end of the show, please donate to fix the gender pay gap. Part of the donations of this show will go to charity for women’s protection.
