Masterclass with legendary jazz bassist Chuck Israels

Join our friends at Downstairs at 180 on Friday 10th April, as they host an intimate afternoon with one of the most formidable forces in jazz. Chuck Israels visits the U.K. for the first time since 1965 and will be hosting this one-off masterclass for musicians, jazz lovers and double bass players.

Chuck Israels recorded with John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Stan Getz, Coleman Hawkins and Nina Simone to mention just a handful of artists. He was a key player in the Bill Evans Trio of the 1960s and recorded ten albums with the group.
