La Serrería Belga es una joya arquitectónica que se salvó de la demolición a finales del siglo XX. Construido en 1924, el edificio presenta un diseño industrial con grandes ventanales, vigas de hierro a la vista y una fachada de ladrillo que muestra una mezcla de estilos arquitectónicos modernista e industrial. Hoy en día, la Serrería Belga se ha reconvertido en un centro cultural y un próspero centro de exposiciones de arte, actuaciones y otros eventos creativos en Madrid.
✍️ ¿Qué es el urban sketching?
Es la práctica artística de crear dibujos in situ que capten el carácter único de los paisajes, la arquitectura y las escenas urbanas. Se trata de un encuentro de dibujo libre en el que los participantes deben traer sus propios materiales, pueden elegir sus propios temas y dibujar individualmente o en grupo.
No es necesario tener experiencia previa en dibujo; todos los niveles son bienvenidos. Trae tus materiales artísticos preferidos, como bolígrafos o acuarelas. Para los principiantes, un cuaderno de bocetos, lápices, una goma de borrar y/o bolígrafos serán perfectos.
Después de dibujar, sobre las 20:00, tomaremos algo en un bar cercano.

La Serrería Belga is an architectural gem that was saved from demolition in the late 20th century. Built in 1924, the building features an industrial design with large windows, exposed iron beams, and a brick facade that showcases a blend of modernist and industrial architectural styles. Today, the Serrería Belga has been repurposed into a cultural center and a thriving hub for art exhibitions, performances, and other creative events in Madrid.
✍️ What's urban sketching?
It's the artistic practice of creating on-location drawings that capture the unique character of urban landscapes, architecture, and scenes. This event is a free-form urban sketching gathering where participants have to bring their own materials, can choose their own subjects and draw either individually or together with the group.
No prior drawing experience is necessary; all skill levels are welcome. Bring your preferred art materials, such as pens or watercolors. For beginners, a sketchbook, pencils, an eraser, and/or pens will be perfect.
After drawing, at around 20:00, we'll have an optional gathering in a bar closeby.
