🇪🇸 Para este evento, nos reuniremos en la Galería VETA a las 18:30.

Situada en el distrito de Carabanchel, esta galería de arte contemporáneo puede presumir de ser la más grande de todo Madrid, con 1200 metros destinados a pintura contemporánea y otras disciplinas artísticas. De la mano del galerista madrileño Fer Francés, en ella se puede descubrir el trabajo de artistas contemporáneos consagrados internacionales, así como las obras de los jóvenes creadores más prometedores del momento.

La galería ocupa dos antiguas naves industriales en una calle flanqueada por talleres y fábricas en desuso, cerca de la Plaza Elíptica. Uno de los edificios era una antigua imprenta y el otro una fábrica de cocinas, a los que el arte contemporáneo les ha dado una segunda vida. Además de la galería, VETA ha intervenido en distintos lugares de su entorno, creando un parque para perros o encargando varios murales, entre los que destaca 'El Milagro' de Santiago Ydáñez, una pintura de más de 500 metros cuadrados.

Cerca queda de allí queda también el interesante Cementerio antiguo de San Lorenzo y San José.

✍️ ¿Qué es el evento?
Se trata de un encuentro de dibujo libre en el que los participantes deben traer sus propios materiales, pueden elegir sus propios temas y dibujar individualmente o en grupo. No es necesario tener experiencia previa en dibujo; todos los niveles son bienvenidos. Trae tus materiales artísticos preferidos, como bolígrafos. Para los principiantes, un cuaderno de bocetos, lápices, una goma de borrar y/o bolígrafos serán perfectos.

Como es un espacio interior no se recomienda llevar acuarelas.

Nota: El evento comienza a las 11:30. Si llegas tarde no hay problema, pero tendrás que localizar al grupo por tu cuenta.

🇬🇧 For this event, we will meet in the Galería VETA at 18:30.

Located in the Carabanchel district, this contemporary art gallery can boast of being the largest in Madrid, with 1,200 metres devoted to contemporary painting and other artistic disciplines. Run by the Madrid gallery owner, Fer Francés, the work of consolidated international artists can be discovered, as well as works by today’s most promising young creators.

The gallery occupies two former industrial warehouses in a street flanked by abandoned workshops and factories, close to Plaza Elíptica. One of the buildings used to be a printers and the other was a kitchen factory, whereby contemporary art has given them both a second life. In addition to the gallery, VETA has intervened in different areas within its sphere of influence, creating a dog park or commissioning several murals, among which “The Miracle” by Santiago Ydáñez stands out, a painting spanning more than 500 square metres.

Nearby is also the interesting old cemetery of San Lorenzo and San José.

✍️ What's the event?
This event is a free-form urban sketching gathering where participants have to bring their own materials, can choose their own subjects and draw either individually or together with the group.No prior drawing experience is necessary; all skill levels are welcome. Bring your preferred art materials, such as pens or watercolors. For beginners, a sketchbook, pencils, an eraser, and/or pens will be perfect.

Because it is an indoor space, it is not recommended to bring watercolours.
