🇪🇸 Para este evento, nos reuniremos en la salida de la estación de Cercanías Doce de Octubre a las 11:15. El Gran Desfile del Año Nuevo Chino tendrá lugar a las 12:00 en el próximo Parque de Pradolongo

A las 12:00 horas arrancará uno de los momentos más espectaculares y esperados del Festival de Año Nuevo Chino: el Gran Desfile, una experiencia única que este año llenará de magia y tradición el parque de Pradolongo. El recorrido comenzará en el Vial del Huerto Comunitario Halcón Pradolongo y culminará con un espectáculo final en el espigón del lago.

El parque de Pradolongo se llenará de magia, color y tradición con un espectacular desfile inspirado en las leyendas chinas. Personajes míticos como el Rey Mono y majestuosos caballos hinchables darán la bienvenida a más de mil artistas que recorrerán el parque luciendo deslumbrantes trajes tradicionales, danzas folclóricas y vibrantes coreografías cargadas de ritmo y emoción.

El público podrá disfrutar de impresionantes exhibiciones de artes escénicas y artes marciales, artistas de circo, malabaristas y del espectacular desfile de dragones y leones chinos que, al ritmo de tambores, gongs y platillos, llenarán el ambiente de energía para ahuyentar los malos augurios y atraer la prosperidad y la buena suerte.

El broche de oro llegará en el espigón del lago con un gran espectáculo final de música, teatro y artes marciales, a cargo de la Escuela Wushidao y de la prestigiosa Compañía Juvenil de Yingge de Fumei, llegada desde China. Una oportunidad única para disfrutar en Madrid de la ancestral danza guerrera Yingge.

✍️ ¿Qué es el urban sketching?

Es la práctica artística de crear dibujos in situ que capten el carácter único de los paisajes, la arquitectura y las escenas urbanas. Se trata de un encuentro de dibujo libre en el que los participantes deben traer sus propios materiales, pueden elegir sus propios temas y dibujar individualmente o en grupo.

No es necesario tener experiencia previa en dibujo; todos los niveles son bienvenidos. Trae tus materiales artísticos preferidos, como bolígrafos o acuarelas. Para los principiantes, un cuaderno de bocetos, lápices, una goma de borrar y/o bolígrafos serán perfectos.

Después de ver el desfile, sobre las 14:00, tomaremos algo en un bar cercano e incluso algunos iremos a comer.

Dibujaremos durante o después del desfile dependiendo de las circunstancias, cantidad de gente y facilidad para hacerlo. Sino también podemos dibujar después de comer en una cafetería o de vuelta en el parque.

🇬🇧 For this event, we will meet at the exit of the Doce de Octubre commuter train stop at 11:15. The Chinese New Year parade will take place at 12:00 in the nearby Pradolongo Park.

At 12 noon, one of the most spectacular and eagerly awaited moments of the Chinese New Year Festival will begin: the Grand Parade, a unique experience that this year will fill Pradolongo Park with magic and tradition. The parade will start at Vial del Huerto Comunitario Halcón Pradolongo and culminate with a final show at the lake's breakwater.

Pradolongo Park will be filled with magic, colour and tradition with a spectacular parade inspired by Chinese legends. Mythical characters such as the Monkey King and majestic inflatable horses will welcome more than a thousand artists who will parade through the park wearing dazzling traditional costumes, performing folk dances and vibrant choreographies full of rhythm and excitement.

The public will be able to enjoy impressive performances of performing arts and martial arts, circus artists, jugglers and the spectacular parade of Chinese dragons and lions which, to the rhythm of drums, gongs and cymbals, will fill the atmosphere with energy to ward off bad omens and attract prosperity and good luck.

The grand finale will take place on the lake's breakwater with a spectacular show featuring music, theatre and martial arts, performed by the Wushidao School and the prestigious Yingge Youth Company of Fumei, visiting from China. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the ancient warrior dance of Yingge in Madrid.

After watching the parade, around 2pm, we will have a drink in a nearby bar and some of us will even go for lunch.

We will draw during or after the parade depending on the circumstances, the number of people and how easy it is to do so. Alternatively, we can draw after lunch in a café or back in the park.

✍️ What's urban sketching?
It's the artistic practice of creating on-location drawings that capture the unique character of urban landscapes, architecture, and scenes. This event is a free-form urban sketching gathering where participants have to bring their own materials, can choose their own subjects and draw either individually or together with the group.

No prior drawing experience is necessary; all skill levels are welcome. Bring your preferred art materials, such as pens or watercolors. For beginners, a sketchbook, pencils, an eraser, and/or pens will be perfect.

After drawing, at around 14:00, we'll have an optional gathering in a bar closeby or we shall have something to eat.
