Metta Center of St. Petersburg

The Metta Center of St. Petersburg is a resource for seekers and scholars, artists and creatives, students and teachers, mystics and philosophers, activists and advocates. We are a community classroom and wellness space, featuring three unique teaching and treatment rooms. Host your next meeting, performance, workshop, training, retreat, consultation or healing session with us.

“Metta” means “loving-kindness” in Pali, a language native to India (and the sacred language of Buddhism).

In ship-building, the “meta-center” is defined as the point of intersection between the center of a buoyant object and the center of that object when tilted, “which must be above the center of gravity to ensure stability.”

The Metta Center provides a space for us to orient and right ourselves as we navigate the Kosmos. Because love is what makes the difference from where we are to where we need to be.
