Nature Reserve Exploration

Expect about 20km. End time is approximate, I'd like for us to take the time we want.

From Svedala railway station Skåneleden leads us through the landscape southwards to Kyrkoköpinge. From there we catch a bus at 21.22 (or 19.52 if we are early. As I wrote though let's take our time, no need for stress.) to Trelleborg railway station. Or back to Svedala for those of you arriving by bike or car.

We will find a suitable spot for a lunch break. Perhaps also a snack break closer to our destination.

What to bring:

🌱 Sunscreen in case of ☀️, raincovers in case of 🌧️

How to get there:
🚲 Meeting point is accessible by bike
🚆/🚍 Train from Lund and Malmö arrives at Svedala railway station at 12.44. Train from Tomelilla arrives at Svedala railway station at 12.44
🚗 Find a suitable parking space in the vicinity of the railway station

For attendees arriving in Svedala by bike or car there's a bus (nr 145) departing from Kyrkoköpinge at 19.37 which will take you to Svedala Stortorget, close to the railway station.

3 days, 2 nights. Fully self-equipped.

Friday May 1st - ~6km
We will meet at bus stop Eljaröd väg 19. The route takes us to Hallamölla, one of Skåne's waterfalls. After enjoying the scenery we will continue to our camping ground for the night. There are shelters and spaces for tent. It is recommended to purify the water at this camping site.

Saturday May 2nd -~ 18km
After a non-stressful morning we will continue along Skåneleden along Verkaån and through Drakamöllans nature reserve. Our accommodation for the second night is at Rigelejestrand Beach camping. You will need to book your own space for your tent. Further information https://rigelejestrand.se/

Sunday May 3rd - ~17km
Another relaxing morning prepares us for our last day. At first we will walk back towards Maglehem, then continue north up to Degeberga. Here we will find another one of Skåne's waterfalls, Forsakar. Skåneleden then takes us all the way to bus stop Skaddevägen, from which buses to Kristianstad leave once every hour until 22.49. In other words: No stress

What to bring:
⛺ Your own tent, sleeping bag etc.
🧊 Enough water for a whole day
🍲 Your own food for all meals and whatever necessary for you to prepare it and wash up after
🥜🍍 Fruit and snacks to keep your energy level up
🧥 Dress according to weather
🥾 Suitable footwear

How to get there:
🚍 Bus SkåneExpressen 4 from Tomelilla arrives at bus stop Eljaröd väg 19 at 16.21.
From Brösarp it arrives at 15.43.

The hike goes through nature reserves Gropahålet, Friseboda and Fästan. There will be views of the silhouette Stenshuvud. We will find a suitable spot for a lunch break.

❇️ Flashlight for the walk through Maglehem to the bus stop

How to get there:
🚲 Meeting point is accessible by bike from Åhus and Yngsjö
🚍 Bus 551 from Kristianstad arrives at 11.40 at bus stop Yngsjö skolan.
🚗 Next to the bird watching tower by Pulken there is a parking lot. It is a 2 km walk to the bus stop. Perhaps there is possibility to park closer to the school.

Getting back:
🚍 Bus SkåneExpressen 3 from Maglehem Lillehemsvägen to either Simrishamn or Kristianstad runs once every hour until late.

To get back to Yngsjö you will need to change buses in Kristianstad.
