Sobre nosotros
This is a collaborative group of aspiring photographer, models, and stylists who want to practice their skills and build their portfolio in friendly supportive environment.
Photographers: Over time we’ll explore a wide range of themes related to capturing your subjects in a way that makes them look their very best. You’ll learn how to use angles, lenses, and lighting that flatter your model, regardless their shape or size. You’ll learn how to communicate and direct your model, so they feel confident and can give you the best shot possible.
Models: Posing is not easy and we’ll help you develop the confidence and skills you need to do it right in a safe comfortable environment. You’ll learn the nuances of beauty, fashion and business poses and discover tricks and techniques that showcase your unique features in the best way possible.
Stylists (hair and makeup): Come and practice your craft, build your experience and your portfolio.
We’ll spend time at each Meetup to do lots of shooting. The purpose of the group is not just to learn, but to walk away with great photos that you can use to build a stunning portfolio for yourself.
Each Meetup will explore a facet of portrait photography. We’ll begin with a short tutorial around the particular theme or style we’ll be shooting so that everyone has a clear direction in terms of how to approach the shoot, then we’ll get to work practicing those photography and posing skills. Before we leave, we’ll sit down and do a short critique of our work so we can improve even more the next time around. We’ll shoot in a variety of environments, both studio and natural settings.
You’re welcome to join the group regardless your experience level. There are only two requirements: 1) Come with an attitude of openness, collaboration, and respect. 2) Share your photos with the models, so they can use them in their portfolios. We’ll make this easy for you.
We welcome models of all all genders, ages, shapes and sizes. No experience required; we’re here to learn. Photographers, you will get the most out of the Meetup if you have a DSLR or equivalent, but this is not required. If you are highly professional photographer or model, we’d love to have you come, have some fun, and share your knowledge with the group.

Halloween Takeover at RAW Studios 🎃📸
RAW Photographic Studio, 3777 Quentin St #105, Denver, CO 80239, USA, Denver, CO, USIf you joined us for the Bridgerton-themed shoot at RAW Photographic Studios, you know how much fun these highly produced events can be. Andie is back with another one, and this time she and costume/prop maker Ashley are taking over the studio for Halloween.
CO Creative Collab Halloween Takeover
🎃 4 curated Halloween sets
💡 Dedicated gel-lighting set
📸 Only 4 photographer spots remaining
👻 8–10 experienced, hand-selected models
⏱️ 4 hours of shooting at RAW Photographic StudiosThis is a little different from our usual Meetup shoots. Andie is a model and set designer with a knack for creating environments that give photographers something interesting to work with, and Ashley will be collaborating with her on the sets and props.
The idea is to create a playground for photographers.
Expect everything from spooky and cinematic to editorial, glamorous, campy and downright weird. One set will be dedicated specifically to experimenting with gels, color, shadow and mood. The participating models will be developing their looks and styling around them. With only eight photographers and 8 models, there should be plenty of opportunity to experiment, collaborate and come away with a diverse set of images.
And, apparently, there will be a Char-BOO-terie spread, which may be reason enough to attend.
A couple of important details: This is a creative Halloween shoot, not a boudoir, fine-art nude or adult-content event. Photographers are also asked to provide each model they photograph with a minimum of five finished images of their choice. The models are volunteering their time in exchange for portfolio content.
Space is limited to eight photographers. There are four spots remaining.
If Halloween gives you an excuse to push your lighting, styling and photography somewhere a little stranger than usual, this should be a fun one.
Hope to see some of you there,
Eric Upside Brown2 asistentes
