TIM HERBIG (Product Coach and Author of Real Progress, Hamburg): Improving your Product Strategy in Real Time
Product Strategy doesnât have to be this mysterious, monolithic artifact others get to work on and you donât get clarity from. When we turn from frameworks and slides to the fundamental questions strategy needs to answer, a new possibility of pragmatic decision-making emerges â No matter your company size, industry, or job title. In this workshop-from-the stage, we will create clarity for your product strategy challenges by tackling them live and in real-time in Miro. Be prepared to come with your real-life questions, and leave with clarity on your next step.
DOMINIQUE JOST (Head of Product at Doist, Bern): End-to-End PM or End-of PM?
No hype. No hero stories. Just the practical, unfiltered lessons from Doistâs (makers of Todoist and Twist) shift toward end-to-end PMs, and what AI is and isnât changing about the craft. If you want a grounded, and messy view of what PM work will look like in the next few years, this talk is for you.
JULIA BASTIAN (Product Lead Innovation & GenAI at Alasco, Munich): From lagging metrics to leading decision - How B2B teams can lead with qualitative data
In B2B companies, sales often drives product decisionsânot because itâs the best path, but because product teams lack the data to challenge it and steer confidently themselves. Unlike B2C, B2B data is often slow, sparse, and arrives too late to drive real-time learning. The result? Product managers feel stuckâ aware that the current approach isnât delivering impact, but unsure how to change a system that keeps them reactive. This talk is a call to action for B2B product teams ready to lead again. Youâll leave with four practical actions to shift the dynamics in you organization tomorrow! At the heart of this shift is qualitative dataânot just as a source of deep insight, but as a foundation for building up organizational gut feeling. Weâll dive into practical techniques for gathering, sharing, and acting on qualitative dataâand why organizational learning is the true unlock for product-led growth in complex B2B environments.
STEPHANIE HĂRLAND (Head of AI Products and Strategy at ZDFSparks): Two worlds, one role â AI Product Management through client and provider lenses
AI product management is shaped by two fundamentally different perspectives: the viewpoint of product teams defining needs, goals, and strategic direction, and the viewpoint of those responsible for designing, building, and delivering the actual AI solution. Both perspectives influence how decisions are made, how value is defined, and how complexity and uncertainty are managed throughout the product lifecycle.
The session provides an overview of the key differences and shared challenges between these two perspectives, and highlights what successful AI product management requires when navigating both. The session includes practical examples that illustrate how different perspectives influence the way AI products are shaped, evaluated, and developed.
SEBASTIAN CASTANEDA (former Team Lead at Foodora, Vienna): Driving growth with limited engineering capacity: How creative experiments lifted Foodora's tips by 60%
Foodora Austria raised rider tips by 60%, while facing a challenge: after a couple of complex iterations and proper A/B tests, engineering capacity became limited. In this talk, weâll go through the experiments they ran, including the trade-offs and challenges, learning what worked and what didnât. We will explore how small UI tweaks, working with data, and understanding the cultural context can drive growth, even if you do not have a large analytics team or advanced testing tools.
FLORIAN BONNET (VP Solutions & Growth at Veriff): How to turn oproduct work into revenue outcomes with KPI trees
Product teams often track many metrics but struggle to clearly connect their work to business impact. This talk introduces North Star Metrics and KPI Trees as a practical framework for understanding product performance, customer behavior, and the levers that drive revenue outcomes.
Florian will walk through how effective KPI Trees are structured, how North Star Metrics are typically defined across different contexts, and why this approach works for organizations of any size or model. Through concrete examples, youâll see how KPI Trees can go beyond performance tracking to help translate product metrics into the language of business â bridging the gap that often exists between product teams and leadership.
Youâll leave with a clearer mental model of how outcome-driven product organizations connect day-to-day work to measurable business results.

AI Essentials for PMs (beyond the basics) - Workshop with Julia Bastian
Pause im Foifi, Förrlibuckstrasse 70, Zurich, CHAI Essentials for Product Managers (beyond the basics)
(Prices go up on May 15!)AI is reshaping product management, from how we discover problems to how we ship and improve features. This hands-on, one-day workshop goes beyond the basics: you'll sharpen how you run AI-assisted discovery, scale your own and your team's productivity with agents and automations, and learn how to build AI-powered products where the real work is no longer building the prototype but deciding when the output is good enough to ship. Throughout the day, Julia will weave in lessons from driving AI transformation inside a SaaS startup, so you leave with perspective on both the craft and the organizational shift around it.
To make sure everyone arrives on the same footing, you'll receive around 2 hours of pre-workshop video material covering AI literacy essentials: how LLMs actually work, their risks and limitations, and the fundamentals of prompt engineering. The workshop itself then starts where the basics end.
Who is this for?- Mid to senior product managers who already use AI and want to level up
- PMs leading discovery or delivery on AI-powered features
- Product people who want frameworks that hold up under real product pressure, not demo-ware
Course Content
AI-Assisted Product Discovery. We'll look at how discovery itself changes when agents can set up and maintain a research repository, synthesize qualitative insights, and run quantitative analyses alongside you. We'll talk candidly about discovery slop, research that looks shiny but is actually shitty, and how to avoid producing it. You'll practice using vibe coding from a discovery lens: choosing the right thing to test, picking the right kind of prototype, and setting it up so it delivers real signal in a live setting rather than just looking impressive in a demo.
Scaling Productivity with AI. From building your own AI agents to designing automations across your stack, you'll learn how to spot the highest-leverage use cases in your daily work and your team's workflows, and how to actually set them up pragmatically with the tools you already use.
Building AI Products. Shipping AI products changes what product management looks like. You often have a feasible prototype on day one; the real challenge is improving the output, handling non-determinism, and deciding when it's good enough to launch. We'll go hands-on with the building blocks that make this tractable: evaluations, observability tooling, and the product decisions around them.
Driving AI Transformation. Getting good at AI as an individual PM is one thing; shifting an entire product organization is another. Julia will share how she is leading AI transformation at the SaaS startup she works at: how she moved the mindset of the organization, built momentum for innovation, and keeps the company on the front foot instead of waiting to be disrupted. You'll take away a clearer picture of what your role can look like in that shift, and how to start driving it from where you sit today.
Throughout the day you'll work through concrete product scenarios, cut through the hype, and leave with frameworks and tools you can apply the very next day, whether you're improving how you discover, how you work, or what you ship.
What you cannot expect
- A deep dive into vibe coding as a craft. We will vibecode, but through a product discovery lens, not as a goal in itself.
- A prompt engineering course. The pre-work covers the fundamentals so we can spend the day on harder, more product-specific problems.
- Superficial blabla. We go into the real struggles of doing product management with and around AI, not the hype reel.
âWith Juliaâs clarity, hands-on guidance, strong visuals and buzzword-free examples, the spark was unmistakable. She debunked the myths, demystified AI and left everyone excited to try it in product management. A real rockstar workshop.âMelanie Wyssen-VoĂ, Vice President Product FACT24
