If you'd like to become an event organizer (plan and run events), please let me know.Ā Are you new in town, new to getting out, or just looking for fun new activities? We have several event organizers posting diverse kinds of activities for everyone's taste and enjoyment.
Find fun things to do, cool places to go, and a bunch of new friends to hang out with along the way. This group is purely a social group with a good heart, and good friends. Singles, couples, youthful or seasoned, you are all welcome here.

Free Medieval Combat Training (Durham, NC) - Broadsword - Armor - Rapier
Piney Wood Park Pavillion, 400 East Woodcroft Parkway, Durham, NC, USLearn the European martial art of broadsword and shield, wearing steel armor. Or maybe Renaissance dueling with rapier and dagger is more your style. Beginners welcome! No experience necessary. Some loaner armor is available.

Ballroom Dance with Stardusters!
Carrboro Century Center, 100 North Greensboro Street, Carrboro, nc, USNo partner required, beautiful floor, lesson included, friendly dancers. Typical attendance is 1-2 MeetUp people and 45-60 general public. Plenty of people to meet and dance with!
Stardusters is a local non-profit that hosts ballroom dances every second Saturday. Join us!
### -Masks are optional.
- The CDC says the best way to minimize the chance of covid infection is to have circulating fresh air. We will open windows and run fans to get as close to this ideal as we can.
- Admission is $15, cash or check.
- As always, we provide a printed playlist of all songs together with the recommended dance.
- General dancing after the lesson will include all ballroom dances plus selections of Salsa, Bachata, Country 2 Step, Night Club 2 Step and West Coast Swing
- Water and a small selection of snacks will be provided.
- No partner needed.
