This is where the real question surfaces.

We often think the work of loving again is about finding the right person, or waiting until we feel ready, or learning to trust others more.

But the deeper work — the one that changes everything — is learning to trust yourself. Your judgment. Your resilience.

Your capacity to be with imperfection — in others and in yourself — without it meaning something has gone wrong.

Because love was never meant to be perfect. And the people we love never will be.

This session is about building enough trust in yourself that you can hold the inevitable imperfections of love without closing off — and stay open, not because it’s safe, but because you know you can handle it.

This is Session 3 of From Wounded to Loving Again — a 4-part series for deep thinkers who are ready to stop letting the past run their present and start choosing love again. Each session stands alone, so jump in wherever feels most relevant.

What we’ll explore together:

  • What self-trust actually means in the context of love — and why it’s the foundation of trusting others
  • How learning to accept imperfection in yourself changes what you’re able to accept in others
  • What it looks like to stay open not because love is guaranteed, but because you trust yourself to navigate whatever comes

What we’ll do:

  • Guided journaling to uncover where your self-trust broke down — and where it’s stronger than you think
  • Guided visualization to connect with your own resilience and capacity to choose consciously
  • Real conversation about what trusting yourself — not others — actually changes

Why it matters:
You cannot trust love from a place of self-doubt.
This session is about recognizing that the foundation of every relationship you’ll ever have is the relationship you have with yourself. When that shifts, everything shifts.

This is for you if:

  • You second-guess your own judgment in relationships
  • You’re waiting to feel “ready” before you open up again
  • You want to stop outsourcing your sense of safety to other people

This isn’t for you if:

  • You’re looking for tools to vet other people rather than understand yourself
  • You’re not ready to take responsibility for your own patterns
  • You want reassurance rather than honest reflection

Come live if you can — this is where the foundation gets built. This might be the session where you finally see: trusting others doesn't start with them. It starts with knowing you can handle whatever comes.

This session is free because I believe everyone deserves access to this work. Donations are deeply appreciated to cover community costs and support this important work.
