Hike from JPL Bridge to Owen Brown's grave above Altadena
Detalles
Join us for a hike along the Gabrielino Trail to the grave of legendary abolitionist Owen Brown, 5.5 miles round trip with 960' gain. Some sections are steep and there'll be some small stream crossings, so you may find hiking poles useful. Near the grave site we'll stop for a rest break and lunch, and discuss more about the life of Owen Brown.
No pets please. If you have a service dog, contact hike leader in advance.
Level: Moderate.
Bring: Sturdy footwear, hydration (2L water recommended), snacks/lunch, clothing layers, sun protection/hat, hiking poles if you have them, and your filled-out medical form to show the leader (see next paragraph).
Please be sure to fill out and bring this emergency medical form: https://tinyurl.com/ycy985mt Hike leader will check to see you've completed it, then you'll carry it with you in your pack. Filling out the form in advance saves everyone's time at the trailhead. Thanks!
