STOCKHOLM IMPROV ENGLISH MEETUP

This group is for anyone who wants to see or do improvised theatre in English in Stockholm. There will be free try-out drop-in classes, improvised shows, open workshops and festival events.

We created this group because we want to grow a community of people that loves improvised theatre. If you don´t know so much about it, you are of course also welcome to join this group.

To take an improv class is a good way of developing personal skills like spontaneity, accepting new ideas and to enrich your public speaking skills. It is also good for communication skills, to be a good listener and working together. As an improviser you have to have a “yes and” mindset. 

There will be meetups for all levels, from beginners to more experienced! There will be free try-out drop-in classes when you can come and try it out for one hour. There will be open workshops based on a specific theme.

Every month there will be one show in English played by the Stockholm Impro theatre´s ensemble or one of the house teams. There will also be international quest shows and every year in august there is an international improv festival with a lot of events.

Most of the events will take place at Stockholm Improv Theatre at Sigtunagatan 12, Odenplan, where improvised theatre has entertained people in Stockholm since 1992. There is a nice café´ were it is possible to hangout before and after a show or a class. All the events will be in English.
